For as long as I remember, I’ve been afraid of flying. I attribute that to my fear of heights and my fear of falling. This doesn’t make sense as I’ve spent a lot of time doing just that as once upon a time, it was my major source of transportation. Sometimes, the things you are scared of are not strangers (does that make any sense to you?).
Anyways, as the title implies, I recently changed bases, the reason I have been MIA, and it’s taking some readjustment on my path, but I’m getting the hang of it again. I’m in the city that never sleeps. Watch out for my next post on the city I’m in.
Anyhoo, I recently got nominated for the Liebster award by Alexis of Alexis’ Lookbook, thank you for that. The idea behind the award is essentially to recognize and welcome new bloggers into the blogospehere and I accept.
1. Post the award on your blog (either as a widget or in the post, or both).
2. Thank the blogger who presented you this award and link back to their blog.
3. Write random facts about you.
4. Nominate 5-11 bloggers who you feel deserve this award and who have less than 200 followers.
5. Answer the questions posted by the presenter and ask your nominees 10 questions.
Random facts about me:
- I love children
- I would rather read a book than see a movie (except it’s an animated movie. Then that’d be a tough call)
- I don’t like pepper 😑
- Make up enthusiast
- Once upon a time artist
- I’m great with my hands (I live for DIY’s)
- I hate typing ☹️
- I love being in-front and behind cameras
Answering Alexis’ questions:
- What inspires new ideas for my blog?
Everything and anything. Literally. It could be a car ride or a flight or while I’m getting set to shower or even in the kitchen. Inspiration can be and is found in everything.
- How would I describe my personal style?
Up until recently,I’ve been carried away by what is normal to society, but I have recently found/ am recently finding my style. My personal style could be described as Afrocentrism vintage. If that makes any sense.
- If I could change anything about myself, what would I change?
The spirit of procrastination. That has been my greatest challenge for as long as I can remember. I’m queen of procrastination.
- What are my pet peeves?
When people don’t keep to time -_-
- What inspired the start of my blog?
I love writing. And the idea of having someone read what I write, and anticipate my next write up is everything. It’s satisfactory really. That and the fact that I actually want to share my thoughts/ experiences/ hacks etc and blogging is a perfect platform to do that.
- What’s my dream job?
My dream job? I don’t have one set in mind. I just want to be happy. I’d love to own a company that caters to children, female empowerment. And to own a brand (professional blogging, an Afrocentric fashion line, skin care). And I want to work in the ministry of health too.
- Do I wish I had a different name?
No. And this isn’t because it’s my only name (yes, I don’t have any other name), but it reflects me. Enoabasi – Gift of God.
- Who are my favorite bloggers?
- What inspires me?
Life in general. Each moment of each day brings something new.
- Who inspires me?
I don’t have a particular person who does. It could be the vendor on the street hawking water or the neighbors child or a friend i spoke to over the phone. Like I said, inspiration comes from everywhere, we just have to pay attention.
And any other person who falls under the requirements.
