I forgot for a second there how words can touch. How they can make you feel. How they change your mind and to an extent your life.

I forgot my super power too, my ability to transport oneself to a world I created from either memory or fantasy. My power to write and tell a story so captivating, one would be stick in each syllable until at last, it ended.

I forgot that all my other loves came as an extension of the first one. That writing, telling a story is what my heart loves the most.

Today, the universe reminded me of my first love. Today, I have listened and I will work to return to her and earn once more, her trust.

Today, I stumbled across a thread on Twitter. At the end of this thread, the author shared links to some of his work which, being an amebo, I went to see. I didn’t move until I reached the very last word. After that, I sat for a while. Quiet, breathing and feeling my heart race in my chest. I felt something after being numb for a while.

It’s been a while since I read something that evoked this amount of feeling from me and I think you should read it too.
